Dennas was a 23rd century HemQuch Klingon female. A member of the House of D'Ghor, Dennas served as its representative on the Klingon High Council by 2256.

Along with the 24 other Klingon Houses, Dennas answered the call of the Beacon of Kahless and traveled to the binary star system. She supported T'Kuvma's renewed call for conflict with the United Federation of Planets, and her House's forces fought with Starfleet in the Battle of the Binary Stars. Dennas along with many other members of the High Council acknowledged T'Kuvma as Kahless reborn. (DSC episode: "Battle at the Binary Stars")

Dennas and Ujilli of the House of Mo'Kai put out peace feelers to the Federation, believing that the Federation would send Sarek, who they could then capture. As Sarek had been injured in an attack by a Vulcan extremist, Admiral Katrina Cornwell went in his place and was captured by the two Klingon leaders. Both Dennas and Ujilli were invited by Kol into his new United Klingon Empire. (DSC episode: "Lethe")

Eventually Dennas would be suceeded by D'Ghor as leader of the House. (DS9 episode: "The House of Quark")
