Desta is a planet located in the Balrosh system in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant. It is the homeworld of the humanoid Destans.
History[]
Hytarans and Nuofons believed that the Destans had migrated from Desta to another star system. However, at the very least, a space fleet remained on Desta in the 2260s.
In 2266, a fleet of Destan spaceships launched from Desta to engage the USS Enterprise over Nuofo. Another fleet, appearing to be Hytaran spaceships, may also have been launched from Desta. (TOS comic: "The Third Party")
