Devix was a male Romulan who lived in the 23rd and 24th centuries. Born in the 2220s or 2230s decade, Devix served in the Romulan Imperial Fleet, eventually rising to the position of Commander of the Imperial Fleet itself. (ST - Typhon Pact novels: Plagues of Night, Raise the Dawn)

Biography

As a young uhlan, Devix dreamed of attacking Earth then standing in the rubble of its capital city as it burned. However, as he grew older and more experienced with death and destruction, he became a man of peace. Although he taught his troops the ways of war, he wished only that they would return safely to their bases and starships without, if at all possible, the blood of others upon them.

At some point early in his career, Devix met Starfleet officer Leonard James Akaar.

Devix was decorated with many awards throughtout his long and illustrious career, finally becoming the supreme commander of the Imperial Fleet no later than the year 2378. (Typhon Pact novel: Raise the Dawn)

From 2379 to 2383, Devix's record was blemished by Shinzon's coup, Reman independence, the sundering of the Romulan Star Empire and its fleet by self-proclaimed Empress Donatra, and the rogue actions of the IRW Dekkona at the Federation's Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, and the IRW Eletrix in Dominion space and its involvement in the destruction of Deep Space 9. It was these last two actions that gave Praetor of the Romulan Star Empire Gell Kamemor no choice but to call for his resignation, despite his lack of knowledge of the operations, his subsequent removal of Marius from command of the Dekkona, and her own feelings that he could not have done anything to prevent these incidents. (Typhon Pact novels: Plagues of Night, Raise the Dawn)

In September 2383 while serving out his resignation period, Devix came to Praetor Kamemor to inform her about the loss of contact with the warbird IRW Vetruvis, and his suspicions that its commanding officer, Commander Kozik, could be undertaking rogue actions against the United Federation of Planets. Kamemor tasked him with selecting a ship and crew to convey her in secret to Earth in the hopes that she could speak directly to the President of the United Federation of Planets, Nanietta Bacco. Devix himself assumed command of the RIS Enderavat, a scout vessel, and transported Kamemor to the Earth under cloak. After uncloaking in orbit, and being challenged by the USS Susquehanna and USS First Minister, Devix spoke with Fleet Admiral Akaar and had Praetor Kamemor beamed down.
