For other uses, see Devon.

The Devonian era was a period in Earth's history.

History and specifics[]

When Nick Keller, Zoa and Savannah Ring explored the Grave Ship Pompeii in the early 2280s decade, Keller found the swampy overgrowth reminiscent of the Devonian era, and stepped in what he considered to be similar to a cow pat. The quip made at that point was that it was similar to Santa Fe in the Devonian age. (CHA - Gateways novel: Chainmail)

In the 24th century, the planet Kirisha IV was similar to Earth in the Devonian era. (TNG - The Lost Era novel: The Buried Age)

In the year 2370, Benjamin Sisko, Jake Sisko, Quark and Nog visited a planet in the Gamma Quadrant that Starfleet had analyzed to be like Earth during the early Devonian period. (DS9 episode: "The Jem'Hadar")
