Diesen

Diesen was the largest of twelve human villages transplanted from 13th century Germany by the Preservers in advance of the Black Death. The settlement was overseen by a greedy duke and often troubled by dragons. It was situated on the coast of a class M world, orbiting the blue star of a binary pair inside a beta tachyon saturated protocloud. (TNG novel: Here There Be Dragons)
