Dina Voyskunsky was a Human female Starfleet officer in the 24th century.
History[]
She served as an engineer early in her career, but later transferred to the command track. Also early in her career, she was involved in a romantic relationship with fellow officer Aaron Cavit. The relationship ended badly in 2359, when Cavit failed to show for a planned rendezvous on planet Pacifica.
She served on the USS Excalibur until mid-2370, when she transferred to the USS Hood, where she served as executive officer under Captain Robert DeSoto. Under DeSoto's tutelage, she became an expert Go player.
In 2371, during a mission to recover one of the Malkus Artifacts, Voyskunsky was reunited with Cavit, who was then executive officer of the USS Voyager. They agreed to get together shortly after the end of their cooperative mission; however, the Voyager disappeared in the Badlands before this reunion could take place. (VOY - The Brave and the Bold, Book Two novella: The Third Artifact)
In 2372, while the Hood was docked at starbase Deep Space 9 for repairs, Voyskunsky attended a memorial for the crew of the Voyager, on the occasion of the first anniversary of their disappearance. During this gathering, she met and became friends with Captain Kathryn Janeway's boyfriend, Mark Johnson. (VOY short story: "Letting Go")
Voyskunsky was offered a promotion to captain and command of the USS Tian An Men in 2374. However, before leaving the Hood, that ship participated in the First Battle of Chin'toka, where Voyskunsky was killed in action.
She was survived by an aunt, Irina Voyskunsky. (VOY - The Brave and the Bold, Book Two novella: The Third Artifact)
