Summary

Rodent, a homeless man living on the streets of New York, briefly meets Kirk and Spock at Edith Keeler's mission. The next day, he finds a girl lost in the street and takes her to a police officer, who reunites her with her mother. That night, he encounters McCoy newly arrived in the time period and accidentally kills himself with McCoy's phaser. With Edith's death not long after, the only person who notices he has disappeared is the young girl.
