Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Appendices[]

  • This issue was the first IDW Star Trek comic (alongside The Enterprise Experiment, Part 2, released on the same day) which was released with only one cover. All other issues of the Intelligence Gathering miniseries had a second cover available by Joe Corroney.
  • The ten pages of editorial content in this issue included several adverts for other IDW Star Trek publications: A page advertising the omnibus edition of The Space Between miniseries; A page advertising the The Enterprise Experiment miniseries; And a page advertising the next Tipton/Messina miniseries, Mirror Images
  • This issue was released on a Thursday rather than the usual Wednesday due to a public holiday on the preceding Monday. The issue was further delayed on the east coast of the United States and parts of Europe due to problems at a distribution center.

Related stories[]

  • Intelligence Gathering - This issue links to most of the preceding issues of the miniseries, the events of which are largely revealed to have been parts of plots by the Romulans to capture Data.
  • Contagion - The discovery of the Iconian gateway in this episode is explained to have been the catalyst for the events in this miniseries. Following that discovery the Romulans hunted for more Iconian technology, and what they found required the assistance of Data to bring under control.
