A 25th century disruptor beam array.

A disruptor beam array was a weapon technology, a directed energy weapons emitter installed on starships and spaceborne-installations like starbases and other space stations. Such a beam array fired disruptor energy at a target, dealing an average amount of damage. As a beam array, it had a 250° firing arc. Compared to other energy weapon types, disruptor space particle weapons had a chance of decreasing a target's resistance against all types of damage. Disruptor beam arrays usually fired green beams. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Basic disruptor beam arrays were standard weapons aboard Klingon Defense Force starships in the 25th century. Ships with 22nd century hulls with beam arrays operated by the KDF carried such equipment, like the D5 class Tong'Duj-subclass freighter. Other factions affiliated with the Klingon Empire by the 2400s relying on standard disruptors included Orions, Gorn and Nausicaans. The Ferasans used tetryon beam arrays instead. (STO - Empire mission: "The Hunt is On")

In the 23rd century, disruptor beam arrays were standard weapons on Gorn Hegemony, Klingon Empire and Orion Syndicate ships operating near the Federation border. In time from the 2260s decade to the year 2270, these nations used such weapons during attacks on Federation starbases with the aid of 29th century Na'kuhl extremists. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Days of Doom")

In the 2400s and 2410s, disruptors fired green-colored beams and were available with different ratings of advancement, ranging from mark I to mark XV, plus unrated variants. These beam arrays could be modified by personnel to improve accuracy, critical severity, critical chance and damage output. Aboard starships, disruptor beam arrays could be slotted in fore and aft weapon emplacements. The variant disruptor dual beam bank could only be placed in a fore weapon slot, however. (STO - New Dawn missions: "Explore the Flotilla", "The Hunt is On", "Ceremony", "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

In the 29th and 31st centuries, antiproton beams were the standard weapons for Klingon starships in the Federation, including their mirror universe counterparts. (STO - Agents of Yesterday missions: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", "The Hunt is On", "Explore the Flotilla")
