The djKen was an ancient civilization that lived between 73,000 BCE (reference stardate -750/00) and 53,000 BCE (stardate -550/00).

The djKen were a race of slender near-humanoids. Their civilization was situated near what was later Gorn space and in the Romulan Neutral Zone and somewhere beyond, though a rumor told of an unexplored site in The Triangle. In the fallen ruins of their spired cities, they left many works of art, but few artifacts, which were too fragile to survive intact. They survived for at least 20,000 years, a significant length of time for civilizations of the time.

Their rise ended the First Interregnum of the Emergent Era, while their disappearance began the Second Interregnum. (FASA RPG module: The Orions: Book of Common Knowledge)
