In June 2267, he was arrested by the station's Security chief Lieutenant Haniff Jackson, who caught him accessing information that was above his clearance using his supervisor, Chief Petty Officer Elizabeth Langlois's password. Strout confessed to selling over a dozen classified cargo manifests to somebody aboard the Orion merchant vessel Omari-Ekon.
