The Doopler emissary was an unnamed 24th century Doopler man serving as his peoples' emissary to the Federation.

Biography[]

He once was in a relationship with Ernesto. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive mission: "Plethora")

In the year 2381, while being transported to Starbase 25 aboard the USS Cerritos, the emissary panicked and dooplercated, generating hundreds of copies of himself and threatening the ship's safety. Captain Carol Freeman realized making them angry would get them to merge back together. (LD episode: "An Embarrassment of Dooplers")

Later that year, the emissary revisited the Cerritos in search of a tranquil place, and wasn't expecting to get captured by the malevolent artificial intelligence Badgey on the holodeck. When Gabers Migleemo told him he'd been trapped with other members of the crew, the emissary panicked and dooplercated into four. Migleemo called up a quiet forest, and the emissary happily returned to normal. During the lower deckers' effort to earn enough merit points for Badgey to release them, the emissary helped by overseeing a simulation of "the Farm" with Ellis and Sanderson. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "The Seagull")

While trapped on the Cerritos, the emissary and Barbara Brinson had a brief relationship, but he tended to dooplercate during moments of intimacy. The emissary sought counseling from Migleemo, who suggested repeating a mantra. Concerned that his life seemed so difficult, Brinson learned from D'Vana Tendi that treatments at the Farm might help. Eventually the emissary tried a treatment in which his neural output was elevated, and it temporarily reduced his compunction to dooplercate when panicked. One of the doctors at the holographic version of the Farm proposed an irreversible treatment called the "Little Mermaid Protocol". But holographic Romulans stormed the complex looking for medical secrets, and his dooplercating ended up saving the day. The emissary realized the value of his uniqueness, and that changing himself wasn't the solution. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive mission: "Plethora")
