Gorta dopterian

Gorta, a Dopterian.

Dopterians were a humanoid race native to the Alpha Quadrant, notable for their physiological similarities to Ferengi, and their inability to be read by telepaths. (DS9 episode: "The Forsaken")

They also shared a similar resemblance to the Kobheerian species, except Dopterians had Ferengi-like noses.

A Dopterian competed in an interplanetary gymnastics meet at the University of Mississippi on Earth in 2245. (DS9 - The Lives of Dax short story: "Old Souls")

A group of Dopterians, along with members of other races, were trapped on Pacifica during the Borg Invasion of 2381, but were able to go home when the crisis was over. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

In 2409, the Tal Shiar listening post Hephaestus recorded that Starfleet Intelligence was concerned with a rise of war profiteering by independent Dopterians and Ferengi. (STO mission: "Mine Enemy")
