Doran was a female Human and Jennifer Sisko's closest friend aboard the USS Saratoga in the 24th century. Her family's quarters were located next to the Siskos. Doran's specialty was in planetary science. (DS9 episode: "Emissary", DS9 - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "Requital")
When a warp core breach threatened the safety of the ship during the Battle of Wolf 359, she was led to an escape pod by Lieutenant Hranok Zar. (DS9 episode: "Emissary")
In 2369, one of the forms that the Prophets took when communicating with Benjamin Sisko was Doran's. (DS9 episode: "Emissary", DS9 - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "Requital")
- While there is no evidence to suggest otherwise, it is assumed Doran evacuated from the Saratoga safely.
