Dosalnar

A dosalnar is an Andorian sword-like weapon, and is among the top chosen weapons in Andorian duels.

A dosalnar is approximately 70 centimeters long, 14 of which is hilt. About 18 cm above the hilt the blade curves outward and becomes saw-toothed. It weights about 5.5 kgs. They come in many different shapes and sizes, some versions come with two handles.

The dosalnar is designed to cause horrible jagged wounds, and scars that even "modern medical treatment" cannot heal. Part of the hilt is also saw-toothed, to protect the hand. The dosalnar is capable of cutting through most types of armor. (LUG: "The Andorians: Among the Clans")
