Dr'ell was a Romulan and the nephew of a Praetor of the Romulan Star Empire.
In 2281, Dr'ell served as the Praetor's security chief and helped make the decision to kidnap Warrantors of Peace from the Federation. Later, he would commit suicide over the partial failure of the plan. (TOS novel: Dwellers in the Crucible)
