Dramia II was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the second planet in orbit of the Dramia star system. An inhabited world, Dramia II was a colony of the Dramian civilization. (TAS episode: "Albatross")
History and specifics[]
Dramia II was sometimes engulfed within the Dramia aurora. The world's atmospheric composition slightly differed from that of Dramia, allowing an ionizing radiation from the aurora to affect humanoids on the surface. (TAS - Log Six novelization: Albatross)
In 2251, during his third year of clinical work at Emory University Hospital, Leonard McCoy spent a month stationed on Dramia II. (TOS novel: A Choice of Catastrophes) McCoy directed a mass inoculation program and treated Kol-Tai for saurian virus. Shortly after his team departed, the Dramian plague ravaged the colony. Dramians would come to blame McCoy for the catastrophe.
In 2262, a Dramian probe surveyed the surface and detected a few survivors. The planet had rarely been visited since the outbreak. (TAS - Log Six novelization: Albatross)
In 2270 McCoy was arrested on Dramia and charged with causing the plague. The USS Enterprise and Security Chief Demos visited Dramia II and with McCoy's help uncovered the actual cause of the affliction. (TAS episode & Log Six novelization: Albatross)
In 2283, Joanna McCoy traveled from Mantilles to Earth for her father's birthday, with a stopover on Dramia II. She missed a departing transport but still managed to arrive in time for his birthday party. (TOS - Crucible novel: Provenance of Shadows)
Alternate realities[]
In the year 2257 of the Kelvin timeline, Leonard McCoy provided assistance in inoculating people on the planet against the Saurian virus. (Star Trek App)
