Duarte was a male individual who lived in the 24th century. His occupation was being a technician, and he served that position on board Deep Space 9.

In the year 2373, Duarte had fallen ill (with Whatley claiming that he was "sick as a vole") and Rom took his place on the swing shift. (DS9 episode: "The Assignment")

It is unclear if Duarte was a technician for Starfleet or if he was a local technician.
