The Dumesite man-lobster was a notably red lifeform named for its shape as a humanoid or primate sort of lobster.

History and specifics[]

Quark thought Marc Tomson was blushing a similar color to a man-lobster when he ran naked through Quark's, having been chased out of an erotic holosuite program by stray Horta. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky)

It is not immediately clear what kind of origin the descriptor "Dumesite" refers to.
