Durnak was a Romulan officer who served as the pilot of the IRW Honor Blade in the mid-24th century. He served under the command of Charvanek.

In 2344, as the Honor Blade entered battle at Narendra III, the ship was attacked by Romulan Star Empire forces loyal to General Volskiar. Volskiar's boarding party raided the vessel and forced their way onto the bridge, at which point they fired at the eagle—the traditional symbol of the Empire which adorns the bridge of all Romulan vessels. Durnak, incensed at the violation of Romulan honor codes, exclaimed "You profane the eagle!" and jumped over his console to attack Volskiar's troops—who promptly fired their disruptors and vaporized him.
