Dylan Arios was a 26th century individual in a possible alternate timeline, a genetic hybrid cloned from humanoid genetic stock by the Consilium. Arios and others like him represented an attempt to use Rembegil empathic and telepathic abilities to aid with psion jump starship drives, but without the danger of the psionic strain killing the individual in question, as had occurred with pure-blooded Rembegils.
