The ECS Constellation was a 22nd century United Earth starship, a civilian freighter in Earth Cargo Authority service in the 2150s decade.

The Constellation operated on interstellar trade lanes as part of the Earth Cargo Service. It was lightly armed, with two plasma turrets. (ENT episode: "Horizon")
Early in the 22nd century, the fledgling United Earth Starfleet also operated a vessel named Constellation, which served as a prototype. (ENT novel: Daedalus's Children)
The Constellation NX-04 in 2155.
In the year 2153, pirates attacked and boarded the Constellation. While the freighter survived the encounter, three crewmembers had been killed. This information was relayed to the ECS Horizon, where the Mayweather brothers discussed the significance of the event. (ENT episode: "Horizon")
In 2156, Starfleet launched another vessel of the same name, the NX class starship Constellation NX-04. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)
