Ed was a 23rd century Human man, a Starfleet technician assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk in the 2260s.
Biography[]
In 2267, Ed joined a maintenance crew with Joe to conduct a routine check of the hull in environmental suits. When Ed was holding an inspection tool with both hands not far away, Joe thought Ed called him, then pulled his shoulder, but Ed was too far away. Eventually this was discovered to be the first contact with apparently non-corporeal Zond. (TOS comic: "Spectre of the Zond")
