Edosian orchids are a flowering species of plant known to be found on Cardassia. Since climate change made the planet drier, they do not grow widely on Cardassia and, as such, are quite a speciality.

Tolan, the groundskeeper of Cardassia City's Tarlak Sector in the mid 24th century, had a particular passion for Edosian orchids, and populated much of the sector with them. He passed on his skills for growing the orchids to his son Elim Garak, who went on to plant them in the various residences he kept on Cardassia. Elim also grow them in an Obsidian Order operation on Romulus where, when pollinated by native plant White Star of Night, created a deadly bloom. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)

It is likely that these orchids are native to the home planet of the Edoans, of Alan Dean Foster's Star Trek Logs novelizations, based on never-aired background information from TAS.
