In an alternate timeline where Montgomery Scott rescued James T. Kirk before he could be absorbed into the Nexus, the Borg had not assimilated El-Auria; instead much of the Alpha Quadrant had fallen to a Borg push centered around Earth. (Star Trek novel: Engines of Destiny)

Lauresse was a city on El-Auria. Guinan lived there until the Borg destroyed it. The echo of Guinan who remained in the Nexus liked to visit her memory of Lauress and showed it to the echo of James T. Kirk. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Star to Every Wandering)
Talaal was an El-Aurian settlement and the location of a beach resort. Tolian Soran spent his wedding night at Talaal with his new wife Leandra. When Soran was briefly in the Nexus in 2293, he experienced being back in Talaal again with Leandra.
Soran's family lived in Sadorah City with their children. They were killed when the Borg destroyed Sadorah City during their attack on the El-Aurian civilization. (ST novelization: Generations)
