The Elarnites were a type of sentient alien lifeform, a civilization native to a homeworld located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

In the 2250s decade, the USS Enterprise discovered an abandoned Elarnite space station which was about to be destroyed due to a chain reaction in its engine core. Number One and Spock beamed over to dowload as much of the data in the station's computer as possible. They narrowly escaped the station's destruction, Number One being severely injured in the process. (TOS novel: Legacy)
