Elias Wintergreen was a 23rd century human man, the founder of Marsfoods Corporation.

Biography[]

By the 2250s decade, Wintergreen had found success as a food synthesizer manufacturer, but he came to realize that the quick availability of food in his century lacked fun – something that 20th century Earth residents had with their fast-food services.

He found limited success as a restauranteur, with food provided exclusively by his food slots. (Stardate Magazine vol. 1, Issue 3/4: "Corporate Profile: Marsfoods Corporation")

In the mid-2260s decade, on reference stardate 2/0907.4, he founded Marsfoods Corporation. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)

His quirky marketing soon drew attention, praise, and followers. The nose-glasses of his curious mascot Robert the Martian launched a fad. Counter-staff started wearing the glasses, and certain meals were packaged with them. Wintergreen then started printing his menus upside down, claiming it was due to failing gravity stabilizers.

In 2270, Wintergreen told UFP Commerce Review that his brand of marketing naturally didn't appeal to Vulcans. Adapting the glasses on Tellar to fit Tellarite noses was quite popular, but the strategy failed on Edos, as Edosians lacked ears. (Stardate Magazine vol. 1, Issue 3/4: "Corporate Profile: Marsfoods Corporation")

As of the late 2280s, on reference stardate 2/2306.01, Wintergreen remained president and CEO of a company that had burgeoned to more than 100,000 outlets. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
