See Ness for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Eliot Ness (19 April 190316 May 1957) was a male Human law enforcement officer from 20th century Earth. He was famed for his pursuit of powerful mob leaders in Chicago in the early part of that century, and for his team of loyal agents known as "the untouchables".

Ness was one of the figures noted in the book Chicago Mobs of the Twenties, and he served as the inspiration for Kall Porakan, a legendary law enforcement officer on planet Sigma Iotia II. (SCE - Wounds eBook: Fables of the Prime Directive)

Ness was later depicted as the protagonist of the television series The Untouchables, in which he was played by actor Robert Stack. (DS9 episode: "It's Only a Paper Moon", VOY episode: "Memorial")

The 23rd century Federation starship USS Elliot Ness, a police frigate, was named for Ness. (TOS video game: Starfleet Command)

Unfortunately, the SFC game software misspelled Eliot Ness's name as "Elliot".
