Not long after, she joined Starfleet as an enlisted officer with the rank of crewman.
Aboard Voyager[]
In 2371, she was assigned to the USS Voyager. On its initial mission, the ship was transported 70,000 light-years away to the Delta Quadrant, and forced to make a long journey home. In 2376, Voyager's Chief of Security, Lieutenant Commander Tuvok, decided to create a special team for battle oriented operations, called the "Hazard team." Laird was chosen to be in it on Beta Squad, as a mission scout. (VOY video game: Elite Force)
In 2378, she and Voyager finally returned to the Alpha Quadrant. She was assigned throughout the Alpha Quadrant for the next two years.
Reassignment[]
In 2380, she joined the crew of the USS Enterprise-E at the request of her former commanding officer, Lieutenant Alexander Munro, when the Hazard Team was restarted. When the Idryll invaded, she and Tuvok held off an Idryll boarding party until they were assisted by Munro, who helped them vanquish the remaining Idryll attackers. (ST video game: Elite Force II)
