Elizabeth Ben Laird was a Human born on June 16, 2350 in Hoboken, New Jersey on Earth.

Her father was a professional martial arts instructor, and her mother a brilliant gourmet chef. In her youth she trained to be proficient in hand-to-hand combat, especially Aikido, Jujitsu, and Tae Kwan Do, all of which she attained black belts in.

Achievements[edit | edit source]

Her parents' proudest day was the day she was accepted into Starfleet Academy. Afterwards, she spent a year studying physical combat on Vulcan. After that, she was one of the few Humans ever allowed to train on Qo'noS. While studying weapons there, she was forced to kill a weapons master in battle, in accordance with their customs. She received their highest medal of honor. She has also trained with bows and arrows, phaser rifles, and the bat'leth. She even represented Earth on the martial arts team at the Federation Olympics. Not long after, she joined Starfleet as an enlisted officer with the rank of Crewman.

Aboard Voyager[edit | edit source]

In 2371, she was assigned to the USS Voyager. On its initial mission, the ship was transported 70,000 light-years away to the Delta Quadrant, and forced to make a long journey home. In 2376, Voyager's Chief of Security, Lieutenant Commander Tuvok, decided to create a special team for battle oriented operations, called the "Hazard team." Laird was chosen to be in it on Beta Squad, as a mission scout. (VOY video game: Elite Force)

In 2378, she and Voyager finally returned to the Alpha Quadrant. She was assigned throughout the Alpha Quadrant for the next two years.

Reassignment[edit | edit source]

In 2380, she joined the crew of the USS Enterprise-E at the request of her former commanding officer, Lieutenant Alexander Munro, when the Hazard Team was restarted. When the Idryll invaded, she and Tuvok held off an Idryll boarding party until they were assisted by Munro, who helped them vanquish the remaining Idryll attackers. (ST video game: Elite Force II)
