Chief Petty Officer Elizabeth Langlois is a Human female Federation Starfleet non-commissioned officer assigned as the cargo master aboard Starbase 47 (Vanguard) in 2265. She was known to speak to Federation News Service reporter Tim Pennington off the record. (VAN novel: Harbinger)

In 2267, one of Chief Langlois' subordinates, Petty Officer 1st Class Dmitri Strout, used her credentials that he'd appropriated in order to access and sell classified cargo manifests for money. (VAN novel: Precipice)

In the Star Trek: Vanguard series bible by author David Mack, Chief Langlois was said to hold the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer, which would be consistent with Vanguard's gamma-shift cargo supervisor, Master Chief Shalas; however, since the novels refer to her simply as "Chief Petty Officer", that rank is the one used here.
