Elrene Leydon was a human female and an Earth Starfleet officer during the Earth-Romulan War. Her great-grandfather served aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).
Biography[]
After graduating from the Academy in 2155, Leydon was handpicked by Captain Jonathan Archer to replace Travis Mayweather as the Enterprise (NX-01)'s helmsman. She arrived on Enterprise in early November, but before her first duty shift she was overwhelmed by space sickness. She tried to calm herself in the mess hall, where after a short talk Ensign Hoshi Sato was able to reassure and befriend Leydon.
Her first shift happend to be during Enterprise's investigation at Deneva after its fall. Despite her earlier worries she had no trouble, and managed to pick up the log buoy from the Tellarite frigate Miracht. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
She continued to serve aboard Enterprise during the rest of the war. In 2160, shortly before the Battle of Cheron, Mayweather returned to the Enterprise at Captain Archer's invitation, and piloted the ship in her last battle instead of Leydon. (ENT novel: To Brave the Storm)
