Elta Vess was a 24th century Trill woman, a joined Trill known as a socialite and a brilliant psychiatrist from planet Trill. Elta was the sixth and final host of the Vess symbiont. (DS9 novel: Revenant)

Biography[]

Elta Vess was born sometime in the 23rd century. She was older than Curzon Dax, with whom she entered a relationship. They were famous in Trill society and considered an odd couple - the older psychiatrist and the hotshot diplomat.

She died of Fventik's Disease, a terminal illness that affected both the symbiont and the host. (DS9 novel: Revenant)

Curzon died in 2367, after having lived for over a hundred years. (DS9 episode & novelization: Emissary)

In 2372, Jadzia Dax recalled Elta's relationship with Elta, and the loss of her and the Vess symbiont. (DS9 novel: Revenant)
