The Endeavour shuttlepod was a Federation sublight shuttlecraft, an OTV type K42 shuttlepod in Starfleet service in the 2160s decade. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: A Choice of Futures)
Service history[]
By 2162, this shuttlepod was assigned to USS Endeavour (NCC-06), last of the NX-class and first of the new batch of Columbia-class starships, the pride of Earth's UESPA service.
On 25 September 2162, Endeavour was at Kemsar Colony, 10 Tauri IV, to bring Admiral Jonathan Archer to talks with the Tandarans, represented by General Valk of the Grentra. As part of an investigation into suspected Suliban terrorism, Valk agreed to be ferried via shuttlepod to Endeavour. Archer understood the Tandaran's reticence to trust Federation transporters and appreciated the opportunity to lay eyes on the Columbia-class starship's hull. Archer and his aide Travis Mayweather piloted the shuttlepod into the bay located to the side of the pylon connecting Endeavour's secondary hull with the saucer section.
