- For the primary universe counterpart, see USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E).
In the mirror universe, the free starship Enterprise was a warship affiliated with the Terran Rebellion until the creation of the Galactic Commonwealth. Built by Memory Omega, the Enterprise was placed under the command of Jean-Luc Picard after being closely watched by Saavik. Design wise the Enterprise was constructed and designed in a similar manner to the vessels of the Terran Empire, only sleeker giving the vessel a faster and more aggressive look, including a ring shaped secondary hull - features shared by her sisterships Courageous and Intrepid. Among the many advancements installed on the ship was an advanced propulsion drive that created an artificial wormhole for travel over long distances known as a Jaunt drive. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: Rise Like Lions)
In 2378, the Enterprise was involved in several attacks against the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in an effort to create a revolution that would lead to the destruction of the Alliance and the ascendancy of the Rebellion back into a galactic power. The Enterprise led several strikes against outposts belonging to both the Klingons and the Cardassians. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: Rise Like Lions)
In 2386, the Enterprise was selected as the Galactic Commonwealth's flagship for negotiations with the Dominion at Bajor. During the mission the ship was visited by Section 31 agents who were on a mission to steal Memory Omega technology for use by the agency. The Enterprise played host to the Section 31 team and provided them with accommodations after they had been rescued from the starship ShiKahr by a strike team lead by K'Eleyr. The starship also became an unwilling participant in the trial of Julian Bashir for the death of Odo and was instrumental in preventing Breen Confederacy commandos from acquiring the Jaunt ship ShiKahr, by chasing down the ShiKahr and inflicting serious damage on it while Julian Bashir and Sarina Douglas went aboard and disabled critical systems which caused the ship to be destroyed as it returned to the primary universe via an unstable artificial wormhole.
