Epsilon Anubis A was the primary star in the Epsilon Anubis binary star system, located in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

Its temperature was 7,956° Kelvin. Stellar material was drawn away from the star by its companion, a neutron star.

In 2274, the starship USS Enterprise charted the system and discovered a derelict in close orbit around Epsilon Anubis A. A landing party boarded the derelict and attempted to restart its fusion reactors before increasing radiation levels killed its personnel. (TOS comic: "The Savage Within")

The real-world star is a G type yellow giant with a surface temperature of 4,916 Kelvin. It was depicted that way despite dialogue indicating it to be an F type star.
