Epsilon Sorona is a star system located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in Federation territory.

History and specifics[]

The system was fairly close to the Tarsus star system.

Epsilon Sorona's orbit is the site of a number of planets, including second planet Epsilon Sorona II, the location of a Federation colony in the early 23rd century, until around the 2240s decade. A disaster of some sort took place on that world prior to mid-2246, and the colonists there were relocated by the Federation to Tarsus IV. (DSC novel: Drastic Measures)

The stellar notation using the Greek language letter "epsilon" indicates that there might be a star group or constellation of some sort named "Sorona", of which Epsilon Sorona would logically be indicated to be the fifth most prominent star or system.
