The Era of Lawbringing was a period of Orion history, lasting for a century after the end of the Orion War in 56 BC (reference stardate −20/56).

Following the Declaration of Nallin, which confirmed their freedom from slavery, and the publication of the Codex Orion, a compendium of the laws and organization of their society, the Orions experienced what became known as the Era of Lawbringing. In this time, they developed the customs, rules, regulations, and laws that managed their newly free people. Among other things, these guaranteed the rights of slaves and the responsibilities of their masters. With these developments, the Orions aimed to build a society that would last forever.
