The Shuttlecraft Ericksen was assigned to the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.

In 2268, Captain Kirk, Commander Spock, and Dr. McCoy took the Ericksen down to the surface of the planet Sanctuary in pursuit of the renegade pirate Auk-Rex. After they landed the Ericksen on the planet's surface, the party set off to find Auk-Rex but returned to where they had landed to discover that the shuttle had been taken by the Senites. Later, the party discovered the Senites had deposited the ship in the Graveyard of Lost Ships after disabling it, forcing the three to escape the surface of Sanctuary via other means. (TOS novel: Sanctuary)
