Erid Sovar was a Xhaldian man, born in the mid-24th century on the planet Xhaldia, the younger brother of Relda Sovar.
Biography[]
Erid Sovar possessed a genetic marker which allowed for a Draa'kon genetic seeding to make him a mutant, with super-abilities intended to make him a member of the Draa'kon's enslaved warrior class. The genetic change, which had been covertly deployed against his race by retrovirus, years earlier, took effect in 2374, with dozens affected.
Erid was on his 22nd birthday adulthood quest when the genetic change occurred. His musculature ballooned to incredible size, with most of his skin, excepting his extremities, turning a shade of purple, mottled with dark blood vessels. His hair fell out, and his hands reacted to sunlight by glowing. When needed, he could expend the absorbed energy as blasts from his hands. (TNG novel: Planet X)
