Ernst Berthold was a Human man, a scientist who resided on Earth in the 23rd century.
In 2267, Ernst Berthold was able to replicate on Earth a new type of radiation emission that was first detected in the vicinity of a red supergiant star, the primary star in the binary star system of Omicron Ceti.
