Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Euromastyx-class cruiser was the designation for a type of Gorn warship serving in the Gorn Royal Navy from the 23rd century to early 24th century. It was classified as a cruiser or heavy cruiser. The term "Euromastyx", a species of Earth lizard, was likely a human reporting name. The Gorn designation may have been unpronounceable, but might have resembled Starfleet's choice.

History and specifications[]

The vessel was the workhorse and backbone of the Gorn fleet, replacing the earlier Saurus-class. Ubiqitous and recognisable, it was the vessel most commonly encountered by other powers. Like all Gorn vessels, it possessed formidable hull durability at the expense of maneuverability, and possessed four warp nacelles like Starfleet's Constellation class. The usual weapons loadout for the starship were phasers and plasma torpedoes, it carried a detatchment of Gorn marines, and it had a capacity for twelve shuttlecraft.
