Wesley Crusher adopted the pseudonym Professor Evan Jackson while visiting the Enterprise-E. Under this guise he transports Commander Riker to 1920s Illinois, leading him to believe it is a Holodeck program.

The name is a reference to his father, Jack Crusher.
