Everts was a 23rd century Human man, an officer in Starfleet by the 2260s. By the year 2269, Everts held the rank of ensign and served in security on board the Federation starship USS Enterprise. He had an uncle named John and a sister.

Everts accompanied a landing party with Captain James T. Kirk, Commander Spock and Doctor Leonard McCoy on Pollux V investigating supernatural apparitions to the Acolytes of the Stars.

Having never encountered snow before, he was awed with the sight of it when the team landed on the glaciated planet. (TOS video game: 25th Anniversary)

Background[]

  • Everts has the role of a typical expendable redshirt and can die in that game's mission if the player makes a wrong choice. Everts can be killed if Kirk shoots the boulders in the wrong order; one such boulder will roll towards Kirk and Everts will push him aside to save his life, but being killed in the process.
  • Everts is likely named after Scott Everts, one of the designers and playtesters of the game.
  • In the CD-ROM version, he is voiced by Eddie Frierson.
