The FMS Karluk was a 24th century Ferengi starship, a D'Kora-class marauder in Ferengi Alliance service in the 2370s decade. (ST video game: Armada)

Service history and disposition[]

FMS Karluk 2376

The Karluk in 2376.

The Karluk had entered service by around stardate 53550.8[4] in 2376, following the end of the Dominion War. In that year, this vessel and its sister ships operated across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, scavenging uncrewed vessels. (ST video game: Armada)

At one point, the Karluk and its sister ships were operated by the Ferengi Latinum Consortium, represented by DaiMon Poe. The FLC maintained a base in the Devron star system along the border between the Cardassian Union and the Romulan Star Empire. The Ferengi brought an Omega molecule to the system for an intended trade with the Cardassians. The Tal Shiar, the Romulans' secret police, learned of this development and called Admiral Sela to Dderas Station. Tal Shiar agent Jal Par discussed with Sela that neither the Ferengi nor the Cardassians had recognized Omega's true value and that seizing it could shift the balance of power in favor of the Romulan Star Empire.

Soon after Sela's arrival at the Romulan starbase, the Ferengi and the Cardassians dispatched their ships in the system to attack them, including the Karluk. The FLC owned two Ferengi shipyards from which it launched its ships. These drydocks included Karluk Shipyard, which shared its name with the FMS[5] Karluk. (ST video game: Armada mission: "A Call to Power")

During the time of the Borg Invasion of 2376, this vessel was among the Ferengi marauders scavenging battlefields. (ST video game: Armada)

In 2377, the Karluk operated as scavenger on battlefields, looking for ships devoid of crew. (ST video game: Armada II)

Following the Undine attack on the Sol system in early 2410, the Karluk was posted as part of a permanent Starfleet fleet guarding Earth Spacedock as of 2411. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
