Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

The Star Trek Fact Files was a reference book-style source, a collection of articles and technical illustrations with numerous issues and formats published in Europe around the turn of the century. Content covered in-universe canon information from all live-action Star Trek series released up to that time — TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and portions of ENT — as well as synopses of all their episodes and movies.

Specifics[]

The British partwork edition published by GE Fabbri was released weekly in 304 issues from December 1996 through 2002. Produced by a team that included at various times Larry Nemecek, Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, Ben Robinson, and Guy Vardaman, individual pages ("cards") from each issue could be arranged under various sections and files within 19 binders to form an enormous encyclopedic reference of more than 7,000 pages. Rather than release the material in partwork format in the United States, Fabbri reformatted it for its sister monthly publication Star Trek: The Magazine.

Other editions were produced in Germany, France, Italy, and Japan.
