The Faeht-class Intel warbird was a type of Romulan starship in service in the Romulan Star Navy beginning in the late 24th century.

History and specifications[]

In 2385, Faeht-class vessels operated by the Tal Shiar ambushed the USS Verity during a relocation of Romulan refugees. The vessel's commander ordered operative Zhaban to activate the ship's self destruct and abandon the vessel, but two D'deridex-class warbirds answering Picard's SOS decloaked and assumed defensive posture around the Verity just as Zhaban refused to obey his superior's order and gave the ship's control back to Admiral Jean-Luc Picard; now faced with bad odds the Tal Shiar vessel quickly fled the scene. (PIC comic: "Picard: Countdown, Issue 3")

This ship was armed for offensive and defensive purposes with plasma cannons and plasma torpedoes, it could defend itself with deflector shields and was equipped with a cloaking device.[1]
