Njuran-combine

Farming combine on Njura.

A farming combine or combine harvester was a type of agricultural land vehicle used to harvest farm crops. They were used on Earth and a variety of other planets.

History and specifics[]

Farming combines on Njura did the work of 100 laborers. Several of them appeared during a parade, flanked by farmers carrying shovels, but the vehicles were actually disguised tanks. (TOS comic: "To Err Is Vulcan")

Husian-combine

Harvester on Hus-24.

Combines were used to harvest triticale-based grain fields on Hus-24. (TOS comic: "Husian Gambit")

s'Kara operated a vehicle on Kadura which combined planting and harvesting functions. (TOS novel: Sarek)

Harvesters on Kyros collected leaves from barrel-shaped jakim which grew in marshes. The leaves were woven into mats with steel-like strength. (TOS novel: Spock, Messiah!)

Massive Harvester rigs on Prairie processed vast areas of grains and corn, and had small support craft of their own called skimmers. Rigs included Rostok and the Sholakov. (EV comic: "The Flat, Gold Forever")
