For the primary universe counterpart, see Farpoint Station.

In one permutation of the mirror universe, Farpoint Station was an extraterrestrial lifeform which Captain Jean-Luc Picard believed had been sent by the inhabitants of Farpoint to attack the ISS Enterprise.

This resulted in Picard's first action as commanding officer of the Enterprise: he destroyed the creature on stardate 41153.7 in 2364. (TNG novel: Dark Mirror)

Note that Dark Mirror refers to the venue as Farpoint and not Deneb IV, that it does not call the people the Bandi and that the lifeform is not referred to as a star-jelly, which it was called in Orion's Hounds.
