In the mirror universe, the planet Faundori was an outlying conquest of the Terran Empire.

History[]

In 2367, Reginald Barclay discovered Faundori in the primary universe, using his knowledge of it to buy his life. (TNG - Terra Incognita comic: "Issue 6")

Acting on Barclay's intelligence, Terran probes confirmed Faundori's existence in their reality, finding it was deep in the territory of the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance though also finding there was no evidence that the Alliance knew of the planet. Despite the dangers, the ISS Enterprise-D set out to conquer the planet. (TNG - The Mirror War comic: "Issue 1")

Beset by many dangers, the Enterprise resorted to a slingshot effect to reach Faundori. As Data and Barclay met with the planet's leaders, the Enterprise began an orbital bombardment, forcing the Faundorans to lead Data to the planet's groupthink network. Though the network nearly consumed Data's mind, Barclay's words of encouragement allowed the android to triumph and override groupthink, bringing Faundori under the Empire's control. (TNG - The Mirror War comic: "Issue 4")

Over the next two years, Faundori was used to rebuild the Imperial Starfleet, though Terran High Command found the progress too slow. (TNG - The Mirror War comic: "Issue 5")

Acting on intelligence gathered from William T. Riker, Picard gathered enough Dilithium to put construction back on schedule, launching his new fleet at Cardassia Prime. (TNG - The Mirror War comic: "Issue 6")

Though the Terran ships proved more powerful, Cardiassia Prime's defence fleet proved more numerous. After killing an increasingly zealous Picard, Riker took command of the fleet and bargained a cease fire with Legate Dovar. After using his clout to crown himself as the new Emperor of the Terran Empire, Riker made Geordi La Forge the new overseer of Faundori. (TNG - The Mirror War comic: "Issue 8")
