The Federation Xenological Institute was a 23rd century institution in the United Federation of Planets for the study of xenology in the 2260s decade.

History and specifics[]

In the year 2268, the Starfleet starship USS Enterprise traveled to the planet Midgwis to place additional members of a survey team from the Federation Xenological Institute. The anthropologists, psychologists, and other scientists referred to their small outpost in Bindigo Warren as the Xenological Research Institute. (TOS novel: Ghost-Walker)
